I am in need of an overhaul kit for a older Perkins 4-154 in my Columbia 41. Does anyone have any leads on a good, affordable supplier? Or how about a good lead on a used 4-236 Phone 206-789-4600. Ask for Larry Stewart of Stewart's Marine Engine and Machine Works. 

I have a 1979 E32, 2QM20 w/what is presumably the original alternator (this site says it's a 35Amp Hitachi.) First questions, there are three wires coming off the back (B, L & E.) E=Earth or Ground right? B=Battery so what's up with the L? 

Looking for other Perkins owners experiences with engine/transmission performance in reverse. I recently had problems with my fuel system after a yard doing some repairs put about 15 gals of water in my fuel tank. 

As you know I have an E37 with a Perkins engine and the Delco (GM) alternator. I do not know how many boats or what all sizes (or for that matter brands) that this would apply to. I installed a larger output alternator, 85 Amp Delco. 

The current owner of Solitaire is selling this most special boat due to the Captain’s recent heart attack while cruising in Trinidad. To make matters worse, his mate left him and took with her the sails, sail covers, couch cushions and pretty much anything that moved.
