GESS makes statistical analysis of microarray gene expression data fast and easy. With this well-documented package, you will not have to worry about complex programming or confusing statistical output. 

The general purpose of PCA is reduction of dimensionality. In microarray studies, the expression of a large number of genes is obtained for several individuals or experimental units. Each gene may be thought of as a factor, variable, or component of the individuals. 

GESS imports and processes GenePix GPR data files. The GenePix GPR File Pre-Processing Engine takes a list of GPR files input using the spreadsheet and outputs corresponding pre-processed files for use in downstream statistical analyses. 

GESS imports and processes generic two-channel data files. The Two-Channel File Pre-Processing Engine takes a list of TXT files input using the spreadsheet and outputs corresponding pre-processed files for use in downstream statistical analyses. 

GESS imports and processes both Affymetrix CEL (intensity) and CHP (expression)data files. The Affymetrix CEL File Pre-Processing Engine takes a list of CEL files input using the spreadsheet and outputs corresponding pre-processed files for use in downstream statistical analyses.
