Graphic Display/Touch Screen 8400 Scale The Model 8400 is a new generation counting scale based upon an Elan 386 microprocessor with 2 megabytes of memory, multiple 20 bit analog to digital convertors, 360 x 240 pixel graphic LCD and touch screen.
PROBLEM: The existing system of tracking weights of twelve products allowed only the manager to review the weights of the silos from remote displays at a single location.
In the past we have provided quotes for more than twelve hundred different projects. Some were as simple as modifying the printout of an instrument and some were complex systems with scales, multiple computers, barcode scanners and printers.
PROBLEM: A sheltered workshop for the visually impaired received a big contract to package small parts. The Fairbanks Sigma counting scale was ideal for the job except for one big problem: the operation could not adapt to the visually impaired workers it was intended to benefit.
PROBLEM: Two high volume processors of perishable food products were using a labor-intensive manual means of tracking material as it is processed. Besides being slow, cumbersome, and operator-dependent, the system did not allow for convenient reporting and tabulation for quality purposes.
