I began to have a little clearer picture of how I wanted this to work out. Gauges (temp and volts) on either side, the stock gas gauge in the top center, an ignition switch in the middle and a hole reserved for a speedometer in the bottom center. 

Then I made a throttle linkage rod, fastened the battery down, installed an overflow bottle and air cleaner. Then I filled the radiator, checked the oil and turned the ignition on. I had voltage at the gauge and then I hit the starter switch... and....nothing. Not even a click from the solenoid.

More spaghetti explosions. The looped wires are circuits that won't be used at the present, but might be needed later...like a dome light and other stuff. They're gonna get hidden behind a kick panel.
