Burlington, Vermont USA; October 31, 2002: Ascension Technology Corporation’s high performance miniBIRD Model 500 motion tracker with its versatile miniaturized sensor has a new price and broadened application capabilities.
The system provide the pilot with a computer-generated image of the “out-the-window” view in areas that are not covered by imaging sensors.
The highly developed, features-rich EYEHEAD™ system for use with head-mounted optics enables integration of eye and head position data -- thanks to DC magnetic tracking -- for real-time computation of eye-pointing angles. In short, an evaluator always knows where his subject is looking.
Ascension’s Hy-BIRD and laserBIRD 2 trackers were recent show-stoppers at the International Aviation and Space Salon Conference (MAKS 2005) in Moscow, August 16-21, 2005.
